sfclayworks was started in 2011 by a group of clay artists from the former San Francisco art space, The Clay Studio. Being passionate about pursuing a communal space to make our art and sharing our love of clay motivated us to create sfclayworks. sfclayworks offers classes, community space, and private studios to the public in our 2800 sq ft facility. We have 2 electric kilns, 1 large gas kiln, a selection of high fire glazes, and several clay bodies available to our students and community members.
Update: We are no longer accepting applications for Session 3– 2018. We begin accepting applications for Session 4– 2018 on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Eight week class fee is $290; community membership is $165 per month. If you are interested in joining us in the future, please take a look at our Classes and Calendar of classes pages for more information. Thank you for your interest in sfclayworks.
