Once again our studio members came up with some creative interpretations for the show title Metamorphosis; a challenging theme, but as you can see below our members did not disappoint. Walleyed

On March 31, 2023 sfclayworks studio members had an opportunity to shine with the exhibition Walleyed. Fabulous sfclayworks artist and gallery director @LeighBarbier set the challenge for all of us 3-D minded clay artists to shift our focus to "Wall" work.  The show opened on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 5-7 pm in the Front Office Gallery.We had a nice crowd at the opening and everyone was excited to see the variety of work that was created for the show. FOUND + MADE Exhibition @sfclayworks

On October 14, 2022 we reached a new milestone when we celebrated the reopening of the Front Office Gallery at sfclayworks. Under the direction of studio artist Leigh Barbier, the studio held its first post-pandemic gallery show and opening that helped bring our ceramics community back together. The show theme Found + Made was based on the idea of making something in clay based on an object we found in our daily life; this concept offered our studio artists a chance to explore ideas that perhaps were outside of their usual working  style.  Here are a few images from the FOUND + MADE Exhibition, and the opening party. Elizabeth Medrano @ sfclayworks-Confounded Realms

DENIZENS: Maurice and Alex Vercoutere

Next up in The Front Office Gallery @ sfclayworks: DENIZENS: The Art of Maurice and Alex Vercoutere This is the first time that we will be featuring the work of a father and son duo in The Front Office Gallery. The show will open on Saturday, November 2, 2019 and will run till November 30, 2019. There will be an Opening Party on November 2, 2019 from 4-6 pm. Stop in and meet the artists! Maurices's work is made using a variety of materials, from tissue paper, white glue, and sometimes acrylic resin. SF Open Studios 2019

SF Open Studios 2019 at sfclayworks will be happening over the weekend of October 19th and 20th on both Saturday and Sunday from from 11-6 pm. For those who do not know what Artspan's SF Open Studio event is, it is an  opportunity for the public to visit artist studio spaces to not only see where artists make their work, but also to see what sort of art work they have been passionately making during the year. This year the citywide SF Open Studios event happens over 4 weekends from October 12th to November 3, 2019, and features a wide variety of artistic medium from paint, glass, fiber, and of course most importantly clay! Just Desserts?

Once again, sfclayworks will be featuring the ceramic work of our amazing studio artists. We are assuming that this years show title Just Desserts? will  showcase many "sweet" projects. Paper and Soul : Recent work of Beth Ozarow

Showing next in The Front Office Gallery at sfclayworks is an exhibition of recent work by sfclayworks studio member Beth Ozarow. Beth's show titled Paper and Soul will highlight the new direction Beth's work has taken. Beth, whose work has been predominately ceramics sculpture, has currently been exploring the art of collage.
