OS2014 Front

Fall is upon us and once again things at the studio have shifted into high gear. Two weeks from now we will be hosting SF Open Studio 2014 at sfclayworks; our third year having this event. Seven resident studio artists will be displaying what they have been up to in 2014. Most of the art on display will be ceramic art which will cover a wide range of styles from functional ware to sculpture. There will also be one of our artists displaying photography.

Besides the city wide SF Open Studio event, we will also have on view our 2nd Annual Student and Community Exhibition, “Around the Table”. Last years inaugural student and community  member exhibition, “Communitea,” was such a success that we decided to make this an annual event. Our members really enjoy this opportunity to show off what they have been up to. We think having this chance to display their work really pushes our members to make the very best work they can possibly make. Just take a look at the show and we think that you will agree with us that our students are making some very beautiful work.

We are also excited to let you know that Saba Parsa, of saba jam, will once again be doing a pop-up event at sfclayworks. Saba, besides enjoying working with clay, happens to be an incredible small batch jam maker; her unique flavor combinations are not to be missed! At this time, Saba only does two pop-up events a year so do not miss this chance to taste and purchase her delicious jam.
