OWEN STRAIN
Having made ceramics throughout much of elementary and high school, Owen reconnected with clay as an adult in 2009 at The Clay Studio in San Francisco. Owen has been a part of the sfclayworks community since the beginning as a student, and in 2019 joined the Hands-up program to help give back to the studio and learn more about the entire end-to end- process of producing ceramic work and running a studio. Owen has been inspired by workshops at sfclayworks with Ellen Shankin, Deb Schwartzkopf, and Sarah Pike. He enjoys altering-thrown forms to make functional and unique pots.
