Sculptor George Rodriguez will be in the studio @sfclayworks on September 14th and 15th for a demonstration workshop. Come learn how George creates his sculptural personalities that combines global culture and ceremony. There will also be a slide lecture on Friday, September 13th at 7 pm that will be a complement to the workshop experience. The slide show / lecture will also be available to the public who are not workshop participants, but we do request a suggested donation of $10 dollars to participate.
A few processes that George hopes to cover include transforming 2-D to 3-D, slab modeling techniques, surface embellishment, plaster molds, design composition, and ornamentation. Don’t miss this opportunity to see George at work in San Francisco, CA.
